Race 4 in the Band of Others Blancpain Sprint Series for iRacing takes us to the Mountain, Mount Panorama Circuit (Bathurst) for some harrowing wall to wall action.

Racing will be fierce this night as Drivers face their fiercest competitors, their own selves.

Patience and persistence will pay off for the lucky few surviving both races.

Open Qualify Session starts at 7:30 PM EST spanning 1 hour. Participants are required to put down a reasonable time (within 3 seconds of the leader) to qualify for the Q-race. If any less than 3 laps are put down, or the driver is not within 3 seconds of the leader, he/she will be put at the back of the grid.

Qualify Race
starts at 8:30 PM EST spanning 40 minutes of practice and finishing off with a 20 minute, inverse grid, Qualify Race, gridded per the open qualify session prior.

Main Race starts at approx 9:45 PM EST with 10 minutes warmup and a 50 minute Race.

Grid positions carry over from Qualify Race Results.

A mandatory Pit Stop is required within a narrow 5 minute Pit Window at the 25 - 30 minute mark to take on tires only.

Remember guys, this is not a pace race, this is a patience and consistency race.

It will be of utmost importance those not confident around here communicate so prior to grid for the Qualify Race. This is the one track where inverse grid can spell disaster particularly if the race leaders are inconsistent.

As an example, if you cannot put together a minimum of 3 clean laps around Bathurst without a 0x you probably should grid at the tail end of the field.

Any other race, I'd be in for - but I hate this goddamn track with a passion. I want to like it but it just does not suit my driving style... in any case, practicing with you guys earlier this week I was well over 4-5 seconds offpace somehow.

I haven't had much time to practice and I'm still quite rusty. I'll join in on comms later on but good luck to everyone through turns 1-23.

I hear you Kyle, this is a very tough track and takes a lot of laps to start finding the line.

I finally have it down to a rhythm that sees me usually safely over the mountain but all it takes is 1 car in an area I'm not used to and chaos.

Having said that, I do like the track more and more each time I'm on it. I do wish iRacing would address the ghost trees though because once you've seen them you can't unsee them.

Through corner names such as "The Cutting", "The Chase" and "Hell Corner" which fuel fear into every driver before ever seeing the track; through solid concrete walls that are believed to be stationary but everyone knows they are really being launched towards you at 230 km/h by a forgotten Olympian God; through blind drops of the track that make you doubt every 2 minutes whether you will end up in an abyss of lifelessness; there are only two words to truthfully describe this track:
