B2O Stream Team

Hey guys,

Peeble brought out an idea last night of a B2O Stream team. I defienitely am up for it and Duke said to put it on here and see what people think. For now we have Peeble, Duke and myself that stream as much as possible, and if we get some uniformed stream overlays done, we would definitely be able to get the voice out there.

I was thinking of having us individually stream from our own accounts during unofficial sessions or our own races, while promoting B2O with logos or whatnot on the channels, and use B2O channel for broadcasting some interesting races, sessions or anything of slightly bigger importance.

I opened this thread for discussion about this and see where can we go with this.

I'm already in the process of creating a uniform channel look. I hope by this weekend we can get it implemented onto Duke stream first then branch out to others. Among the looks, will be a section that directs viewers to our other B2O streams.

If you want an idea of what it will look like, you can visit my stream channel now (which is currently not populated with anything, video wise)

I think this is a great idea but I wonder if we should do this under our bandofothers twitch channel and make that home base?

We should definitely utilize B2O channel as much as possible, but if several of us want to stream a race/session from our own POV, we'd have to use our own channels.

This is where I draw inspiration from Grip TV where they have their own channels to stream on their own time, but still have uniformed channel layout to promote the group, while they use their griptvlive channel for race broadcasts or special events.

Well I better get Kyle those details then so we can setup the home channel as that's the one I'll be looking at as home base.

Once the BandofOthers Twitch Channel is setup I'll start advertising it on my streams to see if I can migrate most of my followers there. After a few weeks of doing that I'll start streaming on the BandofOthers Channel regularly.

*Whispers* Yeah Slider- a professional, uniform look was something we've talked about for a while that I'm trying to put the finishing touches on. Stay tune (pun intended) for updates. Soon as slowpoke Duke (I kid, it is more like the industrious duke) gets his info to set his up - it will be easy making one for everyone else that needs it. But there needs to be a few extra pages also set up in conjunction with the layout.

That's good, my question is: what to do if several of us will be streaming? I'm not sure if you definitely just want a single B2O channel or what?

I don't think there should ever be a single B2O channel. Duke uses his as a main, official channel but that does not mean anyone else in our community isn't a B2O channel and therefor can't brand it as such. Correct me if I'm wrong Duke but that is the purpose of one of the sections- will be to promote other B2O channels... other streamers from our community.

I'm going to see if I can setup a multitwitch page on the Blog but that will have to wait until the New Year.

I think for now the way it works is you go to the main Twitch Page and it shows who is streaming from the Members listed there.

I do believe you need to be a Twitch Partner though but if we're streaming regularly I'm sure we can manage that by Spring.

Thought I'd chime in. This would be about networking, if someone follows one of us they'd be inclined to follow all of us because we stream together, play together, etc. We'd be streaming on our own channels except (possibly) in special events.

Multitwitch works, I'm a little biased towards KBMOD's Multistream (example).

Partnership requirements are pretty high, they aren't as stringent for niche communities like iRacing but even the biggest guy in the community (Malone) still hasn't heard back about his. A goal of a partnership is a very very difficult one to achieve.

Honestly I'm not terribly worried about it. We'll apply for partnership the moment we meet the minimum criteria and just keep on re-applying, I don't care.

I think Matt Malone just recently applied for Partnership so I can see that process taking a while to actually happen.

Considering what stage we're on here, partnership is ways away and we should concetrate more on spreading the word, hence Peeble and I pushing the idea of having all of us stream from our own channels whenever we want or when several of us are on and use the official channel for special events, SOF race broadcasts and similar. Of course, the whole time all of us having the uniformed channel layout.

I'm on the same page guys, just like to have a goal is all :)

Are either of you guys using Nightbot or some other form of Twitch Chatbot?

I'm using Nightbot for music, chat announcements, commands, etc and Chatty to display chat on 2nd monitor.
