Bathurst 2026

I'm on-call for out-of-state training. Could be next week, could be April... work is not really interested in doing a whole lot of planning for this one, but, if I don't hear anything by next weekend, I'll probably be okay for Bathurst. I'll only be able to run the first timeslot (Friday 22:00 GMT / 17:00 ET) for this event, though. Not sure if that timeslot will work for anyone else, but I don't have the time to take days off this year.

I will give the Ferrari a try tomorrow, to see how it feels. I've never driven it before.

I do have Friday off, so I could do the first timeslot.

I drove the Ferrari with the "not safe" set , it works just fine in default weather.
I am good for any time slot.

I did a few laps and the normal set felt pretty easy to drive, or maybe that's just the Ferrari.

We have 4 people, which is quite a lot for 12 hours, but I don't see good alternatives.

I think one of the Saturday time slots would be a better time for the team. I think I will take myself out of this one and focus on the LMU Silverstone race, instead.

The Saturday 12:00 GMT slot might be a good alternative in that case. I may have to dip for 1.5 hours to run Kamel though, but I am not sure yet. If I don't I may give up my lead in the championship :)

Do we have a paint for the Ferrari 296 somewhere? I looked through Ken's paints on TradingPaints but I couldn't find it there.

I can do the Friday time slot, but wouldn't be there for the end of the race. Or do the Saturday 12:00 GMT timeslot but won't be there for the beginning of the race. Also, I am quite happy doing the minimum number of stints so you guys get to drive more. So @Skid_Marc_, if you want to race this, it seems like we can make Friday work.

I have an IMSA 2024 B2O Endurance scheme. I'm not sure why it didn't make it to TP, but I will upload it when I get a chance. Remind me if it's not up by Wednesday.

Would you mind trying this setup? It still feels nice to drive but the understeer is dialled out of it a bit more. The run from the Cutting to the left-hander at McPhillamy park is still easily flat (at least in the dark).

I think this can work. My brain is adjusting to less understeer so turn in timing is a little different. I can definitely be flat out from the Cutting up to lift for entry into Skyline. Having some difficulties at turn 2. Seems I have to brake earlier and this seems to change slightly through the stint. Also, either I am slower or the gearing is slightly different. But all side, it seems fine, I'll keep practicing :)

Glad that you think it's drivable. The gear ratio is the same, maybe the weather/wind was different between sessions?
