I already bought it but it's one of those purchases that you hate making but know you have to do it anyway.

I do admit that I do enjoy BF3 (for the most part) but I just hate giving EA money.

I also hate giving EA money, but BF4 is mostly they reason i put a new rig together. I new the premium price is gonna drop though eventually which makes me hesitant to spend 50 bucks on it.

Think I'm gonna give this one a miss. I'm just kind of weary of the BF model. Particularly how they handled game updates and fixes throughout the life of BF3.

According to interviews a lot of stuff can be patched serverside in BF4; this should make it easier to fix stuff.
We'll see how it goes when the game is live I guess.

So if the fixes are Server Side I wonder if that means hit detection will actually work properly?

It sux getting shot behind walls because the opponents client hasn't updated as quickly as my movement but I still die anyway.

Apples & oranges. Besides, how do you suggest hit detection should work?

Both true server- & clientside hit detection have severe disadvantages compared to the BF3 hit detection, so an optimized version of BF3's is probably most desirable, really.

Battlefield 4 releases October 29 with seven game modes: Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Rush, Domination, Conquest, Defuse, and Obliteration. All seven game modes will be playable across the 10 multiplayer maps launched with the game.
