Blancpain Endurance Series?

Does any race in the team endurance series? If not, would anybody be interested in running the Sunday 17:00 GMT race? I'm thinking about running it after watching a few of the IRL Blancpain runs on YouTube. Seems like it would be a good time and I still have yet to run an official team event.

Week 10: 3 hours at VIR (Duke?) ;)
Week 11: 3 hours at Suzuka
Week 12: 3 hours at Monza

Yup, could be fun. We'd have to spend some time working on a setup though because I suck at making setups.

We'll just have to grab one from the set up shop and tweak it to our liking.
Na I've been trying to learn how to make them myself, it's about time I learn how to do it. With each mistake I learn something usually that I'm an idiot but now and then something clicks and I actually improve.

Very rarely do I find a setup that works for me without some measure of compromise and it shows in my driving. Now and again though I manage to find something and give it that little tweak that fits my driving style and I do well.

I'm just trying to get to a point of understanding what it is my driving style needs and how I can create setups that work best for me.

Running the Audi, right?
Oddly enough I wanted to but after spending over an hour frustrated in a Solo VIR Test Session Sunday I'll not be touching the Audi. For me I just find no fun in driving it having to worry about its moody behavior over curbs.

The Audi is actually worse for me than the McLaren ever was and that's saying a lot given how often that car tried to kill me

Ken, you have a knack for doing things the hard way.

I'll drive whatever the team wants to drive. Personally, I'm after the experience of team endurance racing more so than a need to be competitive in that series. Maybe after a few races when I've gotten my feet wet then I'll start to worry about which car I would prefer to drive.

lol probably but if I can't have fun in a car at my favorite track then the car is just not for me.

I use this as the measure of pretty much every single car I drive. If it's not fun at VIR then I don't care to drive it.

Lol but that tub merc is fun? :p You and davey didn't look like you had fun at Spa.

Anyway Tony, I might be convinced in the Audi if you want to give it a run once or twice before the end of this season. Then maybe evaluate how it went to decide for next season?

I had fun at Spa, I was just off pace so I was driven into twice.

The first one Noel thought I could have given more room but since my TrackIR wasn't working I really didn't have the situational awareness I'm used to.

The second one was completely the other guys fault, he just blew the corner and plowed into me.

I actually really enjoy the Merc because it looks and sounds awesome and is fun to drive. The Audi looks and sounds awesome but is no fun to drive.

...the decision is all but made for me lol.

Unfortunately I don't own VIR (I know, you can crucify me later) or Suzuka yet. I will be doing Monza. I would be up for a two driver team but I have to wait until I get another headset with a mic. Due to that fact I'll probably end up doing Monza solo. Once I do get a headset I usually like doing the endurance races every weekend. Providing I own the track of course. I'll be sure to let ya know! Oh, and welcome to the B2O family as I don't think we've been formally introduced. Hopefully we don't scare you off and you can be assimilated with little to no pain. One of our induction ceremonies is being rear ended by Sir Duke of Rearendington. If you have not had the honor then it is only a matter of when not if.

P.S. I kid, I kid, please don't rear end me Duke! ;)

Don't listen to him Jes, VIR is awesome in any car!

OK, well maybe not in this one:

Duke that car, or if you built your sim / computer around it, would make you a much better racer! No longer would you complain about needing to shit during the race!

My thoughts exactly. The only problem is I like to read while I take a dump so it would be difficult to read and race at the same time.

I don't know how I missed this originally lol.

I only hit those who are silly enough to look for parking in front of me. ;)

You still interested Tony? I know you want to like the Audi, and what better excuse to really get into driving it than for BES?
