BMS Flight Ops - Week of Nov 23rd

I'll be looking to organize a few training flights this week, ramping them up to be include more training as we go on. I will have a very easy end of the week and very free weekend so I expect to be on a lot.

Now is the time to get involved and get some training!

Hoping to be on around 7pm eastern wednesday and maybe 12-1pm eastern friday and saturday.

Anyone else able / interested? I'm going to make a few custom easy, one-dimensional training flights (I stress the word easy, especially for poor quick) that will help with basic wing flights as well as learning other important facets.

Hey guys, I am available to provide help and hands-on, up 3-1 this week. Times are: Wednesday and Thursday 2130-0300GMT (EST afternoon->evening) and Saturday 1400-1330GMT. Session will feature my full voice, 0% whisper content.

Saturday is a morning session as I have a preplanned BMS session at 1400GMT which I will also be streaming.

Whoever joins in, I can provide with downright basics, up to intermediate A-A and A-G stuff, as I'm not that good at either. A-A is on the easier side though.

Quick and I are pretty well acquainted with the basics. The issue we've had has been one of connectivity. I'm eager to try it now that you've suggested a minimum bandwidth of 1024. That is a big big difference compared to the 300-500 we were trying.

Would definitely be up for some flight ops though.

I can frag us sorties on Falcon Online server. You guys just need to register here http://falcon-online.org/ read the SOPs, and one of admins on their TS will give you a quick quiz on some stuff. Most important will be Raygun calls to make sure no FF happens.

It's optional, but FO has a solid server, and current COOP campaign isn't for stats, so mistakes are forgiven.

Also, are you guys using IVC? I watched a video of yours where it seemed you were on TS instead.

We were trying to get IVC running for a bit but ater a few tries and my client constantly crashing as soon as it had a connection we gave up.

I'm up for some more flying, and i could defo use the input on different weapon systems.

4.33 update also changed a few things about IVC too, most important is realistic signal propagation (think ACRE for A3), but also details about connecting.

I can get you guys setup as best as I can this week, if you're up to it. We have a server to go to, or I can host, either works.

I've registered with FO long ago, probably last year or two. So not sure if I need to re-register or what.

I'm pretty familiar with weapon delivery, CCIP and CCRP, DTOSS and HARM. Not so much laser guided bombs and such. A/A is pretty straightfoward.

I'm up for thursday but it wouldn't be until after 6-7pm eastern at least.

That time Thursday will work. You just need to post your Speedtest on a thread there, read SOPs from front page and whenever we get a chance, hop on their TS, find an admin so he can quiz you (5 minutes max) to get a password into server. I have it already, but can't give it away.

Why? It takes 5 minutes and it opens the doors to a community that is developing or helping with development of BMS. I don't think there's a bigger pile of experience and knowledge than FO. Don't apologize to me, you're the one missing out
