BOS Founders early access

Anyone else an IL2:BOS founder and trying out the new early access? If you've got access but not tried it, check it out. Its looking really nice and the TrackIR 6DoF implementation is awesome. Spent my first few minutes with my head out of the cockpit watching the exhaust flairs run in time with the engine. There isn't much to do right now but its a really solid start, more stable than IL2:FB or CoD ever was!

I'm not sure about Founder Edition but I have the $100 Premium Edition. I do like a lot about it so far although I'm having a horrible time configuring my controls to be even somewhat usable, pedals and throttle particularly.

I'll agree it's more stable currently but there's nothing there to make it unstable. There is little to no AI, no dogfighting, no weapons, no Coop, no MP, and little to no damage as far as I can tell.

It will be very interesting indeed to see how it progresses, very promising so far but there's a long way to go yet.

You are indeed a founder From my end it was really easy, the CH HOTAS and pedals were recognised immediately, what are you having problems with? Did you read the features not present list - trim for instance isn't available right now?

I'm just continually impressed with their transparency and honesty about the whole project. Even the UI is pretty slick for a flight sim. Its night and day compared with the Ilya led CoD game.

I'm not even trying to trim, I just want to be able to accelerate at a managed speed rather than full throttle immediately. I also can't get my pedals to work however they're not flight pedals, they're the pedals from my MOMO steering wheel (which works everywhere else).

I may have to create a custom profile in Wingman to force the pedals I think.

Which throttle do you have? Might actually be a bug that needs reporting?

I'm a founder, too. And yes the input configuration menu is tremendously buggy. I retorted to editing the current.action file in notepad++ directly.

It's alpha so not much to do than to take off and land and now shoot at a IL2 like AI. One thing I've come to realize is, that I don't like the winter map - not at all ...
