@Anson Bennette delete those folders we mentioned yesterday to make sure you are not getting any easy to fix conflicts
in user files/saved games/dcs

This was a lot of fun but very tiring! :D Some great moments and loads of screaming and fiery death. Hope everyone has another terrain though as I have seen enough of Georgia for a couple of weeks!
Persian Gulf anyone? (its on sale btw for a mere $25!)
Thanks to everyone that turned out to blow stuff up!

Loads of fun yesterday all and I don’t care what anyone says.......we captured that airport! I would definitely be down for some missions in the PG. Seem to recall one being available for F-18’s and A-10’s on the DCS site where the objective is to blow up a power plant protected by SAM sites and air cover.

Sorry I never ended up showing up. It was a sloooowwwwww course Sunday, took almost 5 hours to play a full 18. We had several foursomes in front of us who were not in a real big hurry, but we always caught them right as they tee'd up, making it tough for us to play through. It was so slow our pairing ended up a four-some as two solo players behind us caught up and just joined our group so we could all play a bit quicker lol.

I'm working on some mission editor stuff in PG, so hopefully soon I'll have some stuff for us to play around on (plus we always have my friends dynamic spawning mission we can run on PG).

Appreciate everyones help on attempting this task. I knew it would be arduous, but I didn't know 12 hours later there would be no finish line in sight. The end of the Moskva was in sight, but just didn't feel worth it, to me, by then.

Anyways, had a lot of fun and did capture a few highs and lows. I'm still trying to find the point where @Anson Bennette wiped out a full squadron with one drop of cluster-bombs. Not sure exactly how many he got, but I've never seen the sidebar scroll that fast, and it was even better when it stopped and then started scrolling again! :D

Anyways, some moments I was able to capture....

My highlight of the day was my single Air-to-air kill. Pretty basic and boring, but these are few and far between (and yes, I'm glossing over the passenger liner I took down with the Phoenix just before this..)

The lowest point in the mission for me, when @Jeeve79 was waiting for me and I forgot to even arm my plane.

NOT @Kinger 's finest moment. The best part of this was that I had even taken the time to turn on all the exterior lights (I usually gloss over it...) but my plane was still clearly invisible...

Far and away, the highlight of the whole day was @Anson Bennette and his A-10 trench run!

hahaha FACE FULL OF TRACERS
Just saw this F-18 / A-10 team up video. Would something like this have helped with the ship?

Eventually the Warthog and Hornet (and Viper for that matter) will be able to communicate over link-16, allowing them to send targets to each other through the data link.

In the interum, having an A-10C to find targets (and lase them for you if using LGB's) is very helpful. There is actually a term for the role in fact: FAC-A (foward air controller - airborne).

Interesting. I didn’t know the JSOW could be laser guided. I thought it was only based on either pre planned coordinates or via creation of a markpoint like in the A10.

It can't be laser guided. All variants of the JSOW are GPS/INS guided. The C variant has a terminal infared capability, but not laser guidance.

Ok that’s why I was a bit confused with what that video was showing. Granted, I didn’t watch the video.
