Computer is frazzled!

Off to buy a new MB and processor tomorrow, I guess I needed an upgrade anyway as this machine wont run BF3.

And as much as Fireblade likes Intel....Im going AMD

Do a comparison Pepsi because you can get a very good bang for your buck with Intel. I just built a higher end 1155 system and it cost around $1500 but it was well worth every penny.

I'd go for what is the best bang for buck, and right now that is an Intel 2500K, 2600K or the 2700K. To get an AMD which has a similar sort of power to those you have to spend an allot more money.

I ended up going Intel 2500K (thanks Mondo!), an ASUS mb, 500g hd, and a shiney new back tower case (Thermaltake Commander MS-I) with a bunch of blue LED fans. It looks great!

We also got Fireblade a new HD and case and fans..his old case he had....modified with a drill....:lol:

I'm late to the party but I have to upvote Mondo / Duke. I am an AMD fanboy but had to build a new system a few weeks ago and had to go Intel due to the performance/buck ratio.

If you have the money, get a SSD. You won't look back, it's such a speed improvement for loading games.
