I must admit here Haja, I'm not sure how you're drawing this conclusion. ESN Sonar is part of Battlelog which is a Battlefield/EA/Dice product and has nothing to do with the ArmA Franchise or Bohemia Interactive.

I'd expect h3ll to freeze over before Bohemia EVER gives anyone full control over their software. Codemasters give it the old College try and were dropped like a hot potato for it.

BIS isn't a game developer so much as their a Military Sim Developer and given their Mil Sims run on the same engine as ArmA, TakeOn, etc., they have too much at stake to ever hand over the keys to a 3rd party.

Of course this is all IMHO but it certainly has been the pattern over the past 12 years or so.

I think BIS is making the Arma-franchise more or less "on the side" of their primary mil-sim thing. The two products live in synergy and I will be very surprised if BIS ever gives up on their business like that.
Of course, if it should happen that EA buys BIS and adds Origin to the deal then that would be the end of the Arma-franchise to me

I think there was a cognition mistake there as ESN has nothing to do with the ArmA franchise, thank goodness I read it through before I kicked the chair over! :lol:
