the six-launcher is very handy and can be used with a arma2 steam install , it even keeps day-z updated.
It might be good to know that you need arma 2 and op. arrowhead to play day-z .

Played it a bit today , its good fun , provides a high dose of paranoia (sp?) , and shooting zombies never gets old .
The only objective is to survive as long as possible and gather enough supplies to maintain said survival .

But its still far in alpha status so keep in mind that its riddled with bugs .

Hey dude, yep been playing this a bit the last 2 or 3 weeks. Great mod and the potential factor is very high. It's the game of choice at tlb atm and has become the online gaming sleeper hit of the year. It's a work in progress with a patch every couple of weeks. There's a ton of controls so I printed out the key mapping, might be a good idea for others.

Here's an excellent map we use at tlb. http://avidblur.com/arma2/ Bookmark it so we all use an identical map.

DUDE !!!!
Day-Z Addict here , spent over 8 hours in game surviving my ass off .
Survived a big zombie attack at the end and then got shot by a player who came out of no where ....
Fun times

It sure does , got home late again last night but decided to hop on a server and do a quick scout .
Ended up just hiking through the woods (mainly because i am currently Completely lost ) .
But even that was cool ; the sense of isolation being out alone in the woods and the paranoia that comes with the idea that a blood thirsty (28 days later type) zombie might come out of no where (especialy after the latest Cruelty patch) is something that very few games have achieved ...now that i think of it i cant think of any ....

Having found the second best backpack in the game doesnt help either , knowing that you are a possible target for bandits or anyone else for that matter makes going around very uncomfortable .

Downloading ARMA2 so I can play this as Fireblade wont leave me alone till i do as he's hooked on this. Does anyone play nightly? (what timezone?) we'll probably hang out on TS server most nights (once I have it all up and going) if anyone cares to join us
