im SO pissed off with this. Taviana hasnt been given a chance. the server has had pubbies on it multiple times, even joined teamspeak AND returned the next day.
the REAL reason the DAY staff arent on it is because they want it "their way' because they didnt agree with the original choices made.
Im sorry but this has turned into a "fragtard only" server and is being changed to purely cater to a select few members of this community and that, is crap.
why bother even doing a vote if the community vote one thing and the new server admins do what they want regardless....what a disappointment.

I made the executive decision to change it primarily because it's not working. We've went from a Server previously that was instantly full and successful to this one that's only collecting dust.
Yes we've had a few pubbies join in but a few pubbies does not a successful Server make.
We did what the Community wanted and there isn't one bl00dy person here who can argue it. The fact is, it's not working so we're trying something else.
I have a very limited budget which means we have a very limited amount of time to make it work. I cannot fund this project for months on end so if we can't get it working now it's going to be cancelled, that is a fact.
If we had a larger window in time to utilize then it wouldn't be happening so quickly but we don't which is why changes are happening so quickly.
I'm sorry if this is inconveniencing anyone but the fact is that I don't want to throw money at something that may not even have a chance of working which NONE of us know if it will or not. Since I don't want to throw money at it I'll be damned if I'd expect anyone else to.
...and as for the Community deciding on Taviana, that's not entirely true either. Taviana won by one vote and it was the vote I never cast as Chernarus would then have tied.
So to say that the Community was never considered in this at all is completely ludicrous. I paid for it and handed the keys over to everyone and completely ignored what I wanted from the Server since day one.
That being said I need to re-iterate that we ARE NOT CHANGING IT TO SUIT ANYONES NEEDS, we're changing it to see whether or not it have any long-term viability at Fragtard period.
...and that is why it's going to be Vanilla to start. If we perceive we need to add to stand above the crowd we will but we need our pubbies to help us make that determination.
Setting a Server to personal preference means that one or two people will be happy, setting it to the way the mod was developed means potentially one or two million may be happy.

Quick that is not the way to react as a Staff Member, I'm sorry. The ONLY reason I'm posting this public is in response to your outburst which is usually a vehicle for Community dissension between Staff and Members.
You are not being blamed for the Server changed, that is MY burden to carry.
For anyone else who's not sure, when executive decisions like this are being made it is at the request of an Admin.
The Server is changing maps because of me and nobody else.
My apologies if you don't like it, I'm not doing it to screw anyone over. I'm doing it because we have a very limited budget and we need answers quick on whether or not we're throwing money into the fire.
