DayZ event 21.06.2012

I've made a new preset in SU that has the DayZ mod only and I've also joined a server hosting DayZ via SU and it seems SU updates what is needed automatically.
DayZ now requires beta but it seems SU is handling this on its own so no need to do anything special (just make sure you have DayZ in a preset of its own).

So, I will try to figure out where I am and then post my position here.

I'l be home pretty late tonight but i'll hop on ts to see if anybody is stil around .
Instead of the Six Updater the Six Launcher might be worth looking in to Leimboy , it is far less complicated and lets you switch between several mods and vanilla , the little filter bar at the top left makes looking for certain servers a piece of cake .
It also keeps all (installed) mods updated including Day Z ofcourse , its even the prefered tool for the Day Z mod devs .

We're planning to join a server tonight and try to meet up. I'm currently in a warehouse (surrounded by zombies) in Kamyshovo. It's the warehouse next to the pier.

I started thrice yesterday - always in the middle of nowhere without any towns or villages in the vicinity. Didn't get a chance to find out where I was. I'll try with the linked map Leimboy, but it really could be very difficult to join up (let alone with those gruesome zombies out there)

Easiest way to find out where you are is to find a road and follow it untill you reach a town .
Search for a town name sign, then look that town up on one of the available maps and bobs yer uncle .

I'm located on the road with the little lakes east of Mogilevka, so that's not too far away from you Leimboy.
