I've been giving it a lot of thought about how to hide this forum without making it a chore to continually moderate it and decide who gets access, when and why?
As much as I love the paranoia aspect of the game, I'd prefer it stay ingame and not permeate the sanctum of our forums.
That being said I did come up with what I think is a good compromise on keeping this forum hidden from guests, bots and members who've registered but have yet to post.
As of Aug 27, 2012, the DayZ Forum is completely hidden to anyone who is:
Currently, there are over 50 members who don't even qualify to see this forum.

- Unregistered/Guest (setup initially)
- Search Engine Spider/Bot (setup initially)
- Private First Class: anyone with 5 forum posts or less (setup Aug 27, 2012)
