I purchased this in a 4pack with some guys for $10 a couple days ago. Its on sale for like $13. Its not bad at all in the little I played it. I also just got done watching the firrst season of the show and its very watchable. And it looks like every season may reinvent the show(you will see after the season finally) a bit making it feel closer to the game. Because at first appearance playing the game versus watching the show they dont feel connected and barely in the same universe but I feel like thats slowly changing. I had been curious about this game when it first launched but at the original $50 price I wasnt confident in chancing a disappointing purchase. But at the sale price was pleasantly surprised that I will get plenty of enjoyment and value out of it. Dont expect it to have the depth of at full on MMO like Guild Wars or WOW but it does have a decent amount for a shooter MMO. Get it everybody lets play.
Defiance went completely Free to Play on 6/4/2014. You can play the whole game 75-100 hours of game play if you do every quest, missions and achievements and the content that ties into the TV show. They also have 5 content packs for sale that add more things to do.
Its basically a MMO shooter with vehicles, but it also has a massive CO-OP feature with over a hundred people at a time on one huge map. Nothing like running people over with your ATV.
Its a great game to kill a couple hours, or a good distraction from you main game. I have the game installed through Steam. I think its still available through steam even though Trion has their own launcher now.
