I must have the worst luck then because last night was really bad.

I wasn't on very long but I got interdicted at least once in every 2 round trips one of which was a no insurance run.

No insurance runs are risky for sure, had to do a bunch of those, especially when you come across a rare upgrade...

I'm using a trade site, but I'm not only using it, I'm also updating its database on a regular basis. It took me a week to map out my homebase and its adjacent systems, and by the time I finished feeding all data in the database the trade data of the first stations was 6 days old and therefore as good as unusable...

I used the trade site to my advantage 887 times, but to keep it up to date I updated the database 3766 times. Updating can take from 20 seconds (just updating a price) to half an hour (adding one station, all its services, commodities and prices). Its quite time consuming XD

That's one of the best parts about trading in Elite is how quickly the prices change.

I've been running LHS Gold to Clive Hub for a week now and making a tidy profit, at least in my world. It paid for much my Adder, all the upgrades and the move toward a Cobra.

I made a lot of trips which took many hours not to mention all the time spent even finding this route for myself.

Monday night Gold had jumped from an 887 credits/ton profit to well over 1000. :icon_eek:

I really regret not taking advantage of it because as of last night gold was 688. I switched to silver for now until I can afford a cargo hold full of Palladium.

I really love trading in this game and think it's pretty much perfect as it is.

There is a really good balance of risk vs reward and has easily represented some of the most harrying and memorable moments in almost any game to date.

There has been a small update to stable today.
Hi everyone,

update 1.1.06 is incoming at 15.30 GMT and the servers will be down for up to 30 minutes. The update contains the following changes:

- Don't crash if player dies as they enter hyperspace
- Don't allow landing gear to destroy a player ship when deployed
- Use the correct jurisdiction for determining fine for illegal goods
- Fix network issue with text channel being shut down prematurely
- Adjusted terraforming meta data on three systems to stop server errors
- Story and text updates

So glad this is coming out. Was trying to guide coffin into the same USS as me to help take down an anaconda and just could NOT do it. This will make a major major change to how I play the game with friends, which is exactly what I want from it at this point.

Should be released tomorrow buds. The wingman stuff is very cool, and from playing in the beta it works flawlessly :)

Oh I wanted to ask, they had a comms system overhaul... how is it? How does it work / how is it different? I'm not gonna lie the current comms system is absolutely terrible.

Not tried it yet Daunt, have only got halfway through reading the changelog, all the info should be in there buds. I know there are some chat shortcuts now like /w talks to wingmen etc. not played around with it yet
