Elite: Dangerous Resource Extraction Site Farming

I've an idea on how to maximize our potential earnings when trying to find the ultimate Resource Extraction Site in Elite: Dangerous.

Since we're typically in Wing anyway, it only makes sense to tackle each RES separately and compare income over a timed period (say 5 minutes).

We'll also clearly have to take into account type of ships being killed, pilot competency (AI) and other factors as well.

The Player in the best RES will remain there and the remainder of the Wing will join in.

@ Marc, I went to Planet 6 in LTT 15225 last night and pulled in next to nothing in the Low Intensity RES. I jumped out and went to the next RES and made 1.2 million credits in under 45 minutes.

It was pretty much all Pythons with a few Federal Dropships, and Imperial Clippers thrown in for good measure. I think the smallest ship I actually killed was an Adder.

I even recorded it because I was sure you wouldn't believe me lol.

You can also leave and reenter a RES until you get good ships spawning. Either SC out, or quit to the menu and reenter the game. But if there's more than one ship in there everyone will need to get out to reset it.

When 1.4 drops in a week there will be Hazardous RESs with wings of big ships that you'll NEED a wing to handle.

You don't have to travel to different systems.
If you assign 1 pilot to enter the instance and check what spawns the others that remained in SC can drop out if the 1st pilot confirms a large ship among the first ships he sees.

Exactly, my method is the easiest.

It also allows your Wing to try all RES' at once to determine the highest probability of gaining good bounties.

Have you guys tried the new very dangerous (cant remember name of them) RES yet? Are they any good? I'm out exploring ..waiting for horizons to land

The new "Hazardous RES" are AWESOME. Either take a wingman or stay on your toes. We saw everything from solo Eagles to groups of 3 Master Anacondas. Even had a wing of 4 master Eagles escorting a Master FDL. That was actually a pretty tough fight.

I'll certainly give them a try.

Mind you, it's easy to make anything a Hazardous RES, just carry cargo and they'll shoot at you nearly every time. It's amazing how much I get lit up when I'm carrying scooped salvage in a RES.
