Enduro Round 3 - Zolder iRacing

Round 3, set to kick off at 1900 GMT (3pm Eastern) on Saturday the 7th of November takes place in Belgium.

Discuss setups, let us know who plans to make it and everything else!

Off the bat I can tell you guys I'm probably not going to make it. My bachelor party is that weekend. I honestly haven't a clue what is going on for it... the best man and the other groomsmen have kept me completely in the dark so I'm probably going to be out with alcohol poisoning or whatever.

I'll still be running practice frequently.

The set we have for Brands Hatch may do pretty well around Zolder. I can see dropping the wing a bit along with traction control to gain some straight line speed but beyond that it should make for a decent starting point.

Zolder has more emphasis on heavy braking compared to Brands Hatch. I think you're right about needing less wing. A car that turns in well when coming off the brakes should be useful here with all the chicanes.

I'm thinking minimal low-speed compression at the front. Lowering the low-speed rear rebound should also help. To make it even more extreme (oversteer on exit) you can also stiffen the front low-speed rebounds.

Noel I won't be able to help much with setup for this week but i can next week. Marc David and I have the SARA Fall Brawl for oval. Big money races next weekend and throughout the week is practices and heat races but After next week I'm going to do a lot of practice.

I haven't raced Zolder since I ran V8's with you guys there and that was my first V8 race anywhere, I will need lots of practice but I'm atleast familiar with the track.

I agree with lower low speed compression, Less wing and maybe a bump up on traction control to get a better exit off of corners without wheel spin. I did like the Setup we used for Brands felt a lot more controllable then the Road Atlanta setup and since it's primarily a right turning track the camber changes I made should still work. If they don't start with the baseline you sent me and we can go from there.

I also can't practice this week until Friday and then is the league race anyway (CotA - West? ).

None of us can practice, there won't be Public Servers up until next week

There will be plenty of hosted session up. And we can put it one up if need. What do you want to do about friday's league race? I vote no COTA and we drive something fun. Like Long Beach! Maybe edit / update league thread for a discussion there.

I won't force people into buying COTA. I know Noel likes it but of everyone I know he represents the minority.

I'll create a new topic for this weeks race shortly.

I should be around for Zolder. Probably drive the BMW because it's easy mode.

I think people will be on tonight for sure, myself included. Will be very important to hammer out a workable BMW set, with rebounding and take off out of the chicanes, as well as a good initial turn in.

Ken, if you're doing BES for SR, you're out of luck, because Zolder ain't that, unless you have nerves of steel and reflexes of a car. Those chicanes are prime territory for those "heroes".

Managed a 1:29.6 in practice today. Not going to mention the fact that it was in a session with pretty much perfect weather.

Top couple of guys were into the mid 26's...

Not sure how an endurance race is going to go though I am having a helova time being consistent through the chicanes and not murdering myself.

I'm probably going to hop on for a short stint tonight but after that it's Elite: Dangerous Thursday night.

I'm still unsure as to whether or not I'll even be able to run this weekend as something else has come up?
