Hosting some BMS Flight Ops! With my fiance out of town on Saturday, I think it's the perfect day to host some BMS flight ops. I know we had some interested pilots out there, so we can finally get those that want to set up with the sim and see how it all goes.
So Saturday afternoon for US timezones, and Saturday evening for Euro. Probably 2pm eastern though I may jump on earlier.
As a first day, we'll just try and get everyone set up and get the rust off with simple dogfighting fun / missions. If you're new feel free to join, you can get Falcon 4.0 for free, and BMS (Bench Mark Sims) is a free modification to the game. www.benchmarksims.org
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
For those who want to go ahead and get their game up and running ahead of time.
If possible, please try to have your game setup before Saturday. We will be using BMS 4.32 Update 7. Note: There are more detailed instructions on their forums. (Which I linked above)
If you're not familiar, or it has been a while, you'll need updates 1-6, which can be installed all-together via an installer here: http://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?15666-Falcon-BMS-4-32-Full-Installer-(Base-plus-U1-U6) If you have bits and pieces installed, like only up to update 4, you can install the rest seperately. After you install 1-6, you will need to download update 7. Instructions can be found for that on the relevant thread here: http://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?16681-Falcon-BMS-4-32-Update-7
After that you should be good. There are also youtube videos for this sort of thing and I will help anyone else on Saturday.
If you're looking to see what Falcon BMS is like, here's a really great sample video of a wing running a mission in a Red Flag to get you inspired / excited about, in my opinion, the best military flight sim available.

And if you get the sim running, you may need some brushing up on skills, or learning how to do this or that... Krause's youtube BMS Tutorials are the best. He rambles sometimes but they're very insightful:
