Fallout 4?

That is really awesome and not over-priced. And with a free app it looks fun. I've heard you can actually use it as a sort of secondary screen for gameplay, not just for messing around with.

Meanwhile, our bottlecaps guy from page 2 has gotten confirmation that he will be getting the game in November, in exchange for his 2240 bottlecaps.

And Bethesda made clear he's getting it for being 'the first to come up with the idea', so hold on to your bottlecaps for now (or save them for fall out 5)!

I noticed that too, when I read it. They made it very obvious that it was because he was the first, not because it was just the caps.

I've since decided to replay Fallout 3 (went out and bought the GOTY edition this time) and make sure to get 100% achievements.

I will say, to perhaps start a discussion, one thing I've really loved about Bethesda's series, like TES (up until a couple years ago) and Fallout is that they've basically said "F it" to multiplayer. We don't need it to be an MMO. So many games now force MP down your throat, especially when RPGs play better MOST of the time as a singleplayer adventure.

I mention this because I heard speculation that they might open some sort of MP / Online aspect. Not so much gameplay, I don't think, but for sharing creations, buildings, etc.... Thoughts?

They better not go MP. Well, if it doesn't go further then being able to leave someone a note, or being able to check out someone elses settlement perhaps, at the most.

In general, I think SP games are much better quality then MP games. Only exception is playing MP with people like you guys.

But... There's one type of MP I would like to see in games like this, as an option. And that is coop mode, preferably max 2 player :)

"Then we go, 'Yup, we shouldn't do that. That's an awesome idea that is way too distracting from the main thing we want to do, which is single player,'" Howard said matter-of-factly. "I could see ways it would work, but development-wise, they're very different experiences."

I've been binging on FO3/FNV (Tale of Two Wastelands) recently. I miss having free time.

Hahaha. Nice peeble.

Very reassuring. Whew! I can't imagine having two lone wanderers / sole survivors / couriers. That is what makes it special. Not a bunch of heroes all running around at the same time.

Looks like Meh?? They've stated already that they're not going for the highest graphics. I applaud them for it. They're focusing on what matters, gameplay. Too many games nowadays are great looking but just absolutely shiit in terms of everything else.

Focusing less on the graphics allows them to focus more on what matters: a huge game world, countless quests, the awesome crafting system & the all the items, the absolutely amazing settlement building system...

It is never visuals that keeps you playing a game. Certainly shitty visuals can break it. But it doesn't make the game. Minecraft is the perfect example.

Great video. Love their art. One great reason among thousands that Fallout is such a standout.

Really interesting what he says about the economy in the second video. In that everything in the game has a purpose and it makes for an economy. In other RPGs you'd mass sell a lot of crap you picked up, but now you might think twice.
