Fallout 4?

Just think, one day games WILL look like that trailer. I just hope I'm around long enough to experience it because it would be frikken awesome.
I'm lucky I'm old, I still remember these 20 year old games having intro movies (trailers for games didn't exist yet) and me thinking, wow, if just there were games looking like that. Now, games look better then those intro's.

I don't think I mentioned it, but has anyone checked out www.vault111.com ?

I've kinda mapped out my probable character. The first playthough though I'm going to do my best not to look ahead / figure out what most of the perks are.

I've always found having high strength to be beneficial. As a player who has always opted for a stealthy / smart style gameplay, I've opted to go high in intelligence. I wish I could put more into Agility which drives stealth gameplay but I dunno. I may have to reassess though and drop a lot of my S to pour into perception and agility and abandon my love for the S perks.

What about you guys?

Being a hoarder I started most my characters with maximum strength, just so I can carry lots. Being an avid VATS user I also go for perception, and whatever helps repairs.

I think repair would be mostly strength and intelligence. Strength has some workbench-related perks (armoror perk and weaponsmith)

The reason you listed is the best reason to have high S. Carrying 300 lbs of CRAP really pays off.

I'm so torn on how I want to create a character. I may just use a RNG to determine my stats and roll with whatever I get.

Haha. As a first playthrough that would be really interesting, Iron.

What sort of chars do you play in the past Bethesda games? As I said I love being sneaky but being able to pack a punch when doing so, especially from distance. In all TES series games, I played woodelf to be an excellent sneak / thief / archer.

I honestly don't remember. It's been probably almost 4 years since I last touched skyrim and fallout 3 I think I was very vats heavy with pistols because I played it on console.

I think I might just let RNGesus take the wheel and see where it goes. May have to record or stream my game play as well.

I decided I think to go this route:

Banking on finding the bobbleheads for perfect speed and intelligence. Really will have some shortcomings with endurance and a bit of lack of strength.

Seems there's been quite a few leaks, including some video gameplay (which, if you weren't aware, Bethesda has said no more gameplay vids until release). I've been going dark and it's so damn tough but I refuse to read or see any spoilers!

I broke and watched one of the gameplay vids. They added a little QoL to the looting system to make my need to check and loot EVERYTHING quite nice.

Ive seen some leaked non-spoiler footage (so no intro scenes or anything, just regular game play), and all I can and will say (non-spoiler) is that it really looked like old school fall out. And that there is lots to pick up for hoarders like me XD
Definately starting with 10 strength :p

I set up the RNG calculator in excel. The only downside to it is sometimes it wants to generate a total of 22 skill points instead of 21.

To be realistic to RL, your character Iron should start out with a handicap anyway :p

My strength 2 character is really gonna be annoying for that reason. Plus a couple of the strength perks, including strong back of course, are awesome.

I'm sure INT will roll nice and low.
Would be a neat idea to try and create a character that resembles your irl skills.
