Last week I created a thread to hear what everyone's first few racing games were. There were some awesome retro games that really took me back, and some that I had forgotten. I loved the games people posted so I'm doing the same for FPS games. It's a bit tougher as they're a bit newer, at least the modern FPS. So try and limit it to the 90's.
The obvious first choice would be Wolfenstein 3D. I remember actually playing this at my dad's work when he'd bring me in on take your kid to work day and all:

Aside from that, I didn't really play too much FPS games (not my most favorite genre) but jump ahead a little bit and a game I played a lot (especially co-op) was the original Rainbow Six for PS: As a little bonus, take a look at the loading animation featured in it. I had no idea why at the time he was pinching his thumb and finger like that haha!
