This design was pretty much stolen from another one of my sites movie-talk.net. The reason I took it is that it is 110% my own and should be rather unique when compared to other sites online.

I do wonder how you all feel about the look and feel and if there were things you'd like to change about the current look? I think it's best to discuss this aesthetic now before I put too much work into creating something you guys don't like.

Anyway, if you have any theme level discussions or design ideas, please let me know.

Looks pretty good, and loads fast as well.
Only thing is I think the background shines trough a bit too much, especially when leaving through the forum indexes (especially the orange text on orange background becomes hard to read). Posts can be read fine. Perhaps darken the background image a tad?

I couldn't agree more and have toiled on how to fix this in a way that allows for the background to not be filtered out too much in the process. I think what I may try is darkening up the site background about 5% while extending all the gradients and overlay elements as much as 15%.

I think this combination should allow for all the text elements to "pop" more while still allowing the background to shine through.
