Fireblade reported that he is getting Errors that the "server is outdated"

Sorry about that, I just assumed in ordering a new Server that it would be up to date which is is not.

I'm updating right now to DayZ 1.7.2.4 + Hive 0.7.2 + Beta 95389 + BattlEye v1.61.94945+ - 7/27/12

That wasn't an option when ordering the Server so maybe it was done in the server.cfg or something.

BTW, many Servers on GameTracker are running DayZ version 95417 Beta Patch.

This is marked as a "use at your own risk/unsupported" version so do we want to use it?

Ummm, that's a dumb question! That has "no don't touch" written all over it, perfect for this group that like to touch pretty shinny things that make things go boom.

as fun as it might be to test ti and break things...probably not so much fun at our own expense so probably safer to stick with the ones that are risk free for now!

I'd say UTC+8 then.

That means:

3 PM EST/21:00 CET sun up
5 AM EST/11:00 CET sun down

Does anyone know if there is something in the Server Configs I can change because I used the settings from above when ordering?

Trying, but can't find it in the server browsers as it seems to run an old ARMA version.

I'm starting to think that we wanted something like UTC-4 or UTC-8 when ordering the Server.

I can't seem to find any information on how to change the timezone in the Server, the .cfg files don't seem to have an option.

The host also states that when ordering a server it is your one and only chance to setup the timezone.

Thats strange because Sub changed the timezone 2 or 3 times during the first week
