Fragtard.net Battlefield 3 gameplay video

As you might know, i've recorded some of our rounds last Sunday on the Fragtard server. So I put a little video together just for testing purposes, nothing fancy, just some gameplay footage. It's pretty funny listening to the chatter on TS though

I have a lot of more footage, but unfortunately due to a bug/problem in the recording software the videos start to stutter after 8/9 minutes of recording. Apparently it's a known problem combined with BF3. Still kept the bagpipe part in, as I thought it was hilarious

Kinda bizarre but I could have sworn it was playing fine this morning when I watched it but this afternoon the image is bouncing all over the place. I actually tried viewing it at work and at home so I'm pretty sure it's not me (for once).

Has it always been this way or am I having an acid flashback?

Nice vid, but same experience as Duke; the video is kind of distorted. IIRC you didn't record in your BF3-resolution, right?

Which recording software are you using? You could give MSI Afterburner a shot, that works fine for me.

Wow, just watched it again as well, same thing here.. very shaky. It was perfect when the upload was done. I think YouTube messed something up there?

Johnny; it's indeed not recorded in the original BF3-resolution. The original files are perfectly smooth though. I used Action!

Hmm, I think I know what it is.. when the upload was done, YouTube suggested to 'stabilize' the video, as they thought it was not smooth enough, so I did. They said it took some time to process it. Until then, the original video was shown. Just looked at the video enhancement options and 'Stabilize' was indeed on. Turned it off and the preview window showed a perfect smooth video again. Now it just takes some time to get it back to original..

Now the 720 option is gone, bummer. Certainly is much more stable now though.

I'm hoping it will get back as YouTube still might be processing the video back to original. It took more than half a day before the 'stabilize' enhancement kicked in.

Right, so I recorded with Afterburner today. Quality seems so-so, even though I recorded at 720p, but the weird thing is - sound recorded ingame & TS just fine, but not my mic, so you can't hear what I say.

There's 2 things I take away from this vid;
* I whine waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much on TS
* I get owned waaaaaaaaaaaaay too badly in BF3

Time to go back to Mineweeper.

I wonder if it has anything to do with you drawing the knife as a main weapon? All of my knife kills are quick knife with the F key and most seem to work except for the odd one now and then.

I have found though that if your victim is moving then it is problematic to hit them. Unless you are running directly behind them and facing the exact same direction they are, you can miss.

...that being said, I bet I miss at least 10% of my knife attempts as well.
