Fragtard SimCity Playday Sunday April 7, 2013

Since we don't have an actual Fragtard wide Play day scheduled for this Sunday, why not at least schedule a SimCity day for this weekend?

So what type of land should we use? Reflection Atoll is quite good, only 1 great work site but 7 cities in 2 groups but are all linked by road/rail. Horizon archipelago also looks like it might be good as we can all link up by sea.

Of cause, there is a challenge starting tomorrow to get 2.5m region inhabitants, so if we want to do this we'll need a larger site, also we'll need to cater for all the people that might want to lay claim to a city, 7 might be too small.

We need to find land that allows for multiple Cities/Mayor. Micromanaging one City forever gets boring and cumbersome so the larger the map the better IMHO.

I was only trial running tardville 2... it does have some nice cities where there is two ways in/out, which seems to make a big difference.I think we should all start from scratch tommorow, and maybe we could all play on the same speed? I think some of the problems might be coming from our cities are all different sizes/levels due to playing on different speeds maybe? Could be way off I dunno.

I think playing on the same speed would be awesome! I also suggest we pick a Region we can all agree on tomorrow.

No offense little P, but I won't be coming back to that Region. I was driving me nuts from the get go with all the sirens and the fucked up shape. I got past all that only to get hit by an earthquake and meteor shower that devastated about 25% of my new Residential Developments.

I want to start fresh on something else and put today's fiasco behind me.

I'm actually worried that no matter what we do though, we're risking losing hours upon hours of work. There is clearly an issue with EA Servers and I'm sure it's why all this sh1t is happening.

Damn thats all duke my city has be attacked by multiple aliens,godzilla,tornados,earthquakes,meteorshowers,and zombie attacks that i Have probably built every road building etc atleast twice and others even more.

would like to take a vote on maybe doing sandbox mode then we maybe wont run into the issues we are now what do you guys think?

Sandbox Mode has the exact same issues.

My daughter was playing on it today and lost about 2 hours worth of work when the game inexplicably kicked her back to the main menu.

D00k! You and your bloody crime lords! I keep getting messages about how my police keep arresting people from your city; my residents are saying that your city is lowering my land value!!!. Also, everyone get public transport; my infrastructure closed down today because of traffic. When I check it all, nearly all of them were from the other two cities

lol the game is stupid that way as all our crime leaves the city for greener pastures elsewhere. I've had arsonists, murderers and everything in between come from all of you.

BTW, does that bl00dy police surveillance chopper actually do anything other than soak up money and make 0 arrests?

No offence taken Duke it was only a trial run

And yeah I noticed the choppers just sit there... I bulldozed the fucking lot of them. I hope the lazy ass pilots were still sitting in them eating doughnuts...

It's weird, I built every type of education as a priority, to keep the crime low, it worked until I passed the 50k population mark, then the criminals soared in number...

This was before you two even joined the region!

Now you can see why city mayors are fond of getting blowjobs off interns, it keeps their mind off the mess they preside over?

Right. I'm starting a new city in a corner, well away from your criminal spouting hamfisted gambling monstrosities. When I do allow your peons in via a port, I'll have a police precinct there.

Every time I go into my city it either kicks me out due to sync problems or asks me to roll back. I started another one
