Any one following up on IL2 Battle of Stalingrad ?

Oh yes. Been playing it a bit. Not tried the latest patch yet but so far very impressed. Some people have had a few issues but its been a completely seamless game for me. Just needs more content...and trim.

I'm all over it like a dirty shirt.

I just flew in the latest patch and finally got to shoot stuff, it was awesome. There's a long way to go yet but so far it's very promising indeed.

I did find control mapping to be exceptionally difficult this time around though, hopefully they simplify the process a bit for those of us using older controllers.

I wil await to jump in after the Stalingrad map is finish in January and they have a server up 24/7 hopefully january/february.

I had two particular control issues, one was Throttle mapping and the other was Pedals.

Neither worked properly even though I followed the instructions to the letter. For whatever reason, the game will not map pedals that are on two separate axes. It took me forever to figure out that I had to combine the pedals on one axis for the game to finally read anything other than “right full rudder”.

I don’t know if this is an issue with all pedals or just because I’m using my brake and gas pedals from my Momo?

Also, the game will not map my throttle properly no matter what I do. It always maps it inverted and it took me about half a dozen failed startups to realize it. I’d start up full throttle (unbeknownst to me) and then “right full rudder” into another 109.

This has been the most difficult control mapping I’ve yet experienced in a flight sim; Assetto Corsa runs a close second with configuring Track IR.

The inverted throttle is a wide spread problem - I had it too. And the freezing controls gui to boot. After editing the file current.action in notepad++ and assigning the throttle and brakes there it worked ... until the next update I guess

Thx Wotan, been playing With some miner updates regarding Medals/Rank scripts been over 2 years I think since we used it ;-)

I just put up the Guys I see is still active in this forum on the 332 Roster and hope we can get us up flying active togheter when BOS is playable in MP.
Intil then we se what the 1C/777 can come up With in this Game , and it looks great so far ;-)
