Going off the grid for a while

Hi mates,
I'm currently assigned to a project that will take me around the world to almost all countries that exists :) At least if they have advanced hospitals.

What I will do I can't go into details about but I will work with state of the art gamma radiation knifes for non invasive brain surgery in cancer treatment.

This means I will have almost no time for gaming in the days coming but I'll read the forum as always. Have fun and all the best to everyone and I'll see if I can manage to drop in on the occasional game :D

Very cool sir. Please tell us later some highlights when you can. This hits close to home for me. Thank you.

Close to home meaning this is what I did in January/February. You defiantly don't feel anything, but the steroids they put you on to control swelling are a freaking nightmare. ...Shutters... The residual radiation, while not concentrated, still killed off my hair in spots, so you can imagine what it does to brain tissue closer in. Regardless, it heals over time and I'm not 6 feet under. Cool stuff, glad they have the tech cause cutting too close to my brain stem would have really hurt me, my surgeon made it clear he was going to stay well clear of the brain stem.

Sounds very interesting HaJa! Good luck with the job. It seems like something totally different that you've done so far?

Hi everyone,
It's very different. The knifes I will work on is the best in the world and it's a big machine.
The system doesn't move at all. It's the patient that moves around on a controlled bed.

If you search google play for Leksell Gamma knife Perfexion you'll see what it is :)
