Going "retro": Battlefield Bad Company 2

I got a bit wistful for this game and fired it up recently. While you still get rounds where your team CANNOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO ATTACK THE MCOMS and gets locked into their spawn, you can still get some really terrific games out of it, and it occurred to me how much more I liked BFBC2 than I did BF3.

Anyone still play this? I'm talking on PC, by the way.

I've played some Vietnam a while back, and i think i still have it installed so it should be feasible to play some bfbc2

There seems to be only, like, two Vietnam servers anymore. There are a few Rush and Conquest servers for basic BFBC2, though. I find that it really holds up. And it's still a blast to level entire maps using the Destruction 2.0 system. So much more satisfying than BF3 where hardly anything was collapsible, it seemed.

Aaaand I'm giving up on this game. The online community is basically like 5-ish servers in the US anymore, and they aren't actively adminned. They have rules on them, but nobody really does anything to enforce them, and they're happy to let lingering AFKs sit on a team while they get steamrolled.

It was a great game, but its time has passed.
