Just got the latest a Game of Thrones season 2 trailer in my youtube box and HELL!! did it get me excited about april 1st .

So excited i felt compelled to share it with you lot

The series is based on the books written by George R. R. Martin , called "a Song of Ice and Fire" ( "a Game of Thrones" being the title of the first book ).
I have read the first 4 books 3 times now and going through the 4th time because i recently purchased the 5th book .

The books have long been on the top of my list of best books ever .
The tv series has gone straight to the top of my best series ever list (knocking Fringe of the number one spot even .... ) .

If you like (low) fantasy novels ; get the books !
And if you dont want to read but still like (low)fantasy , the series are well worth watching .

Ps :
Word of warning though if you intend to pick either of the two up : NOT suitable for children!!
The books and tv show have a very mature setting .

Forget everything you learned from the Lord of the Rings story , there is No black and white in this world.....

HeHe, yes indeed it's great. I've read the books and I love the series It's actually pretty darn true to the book! By all means i concur with the above statement. Get both books and series. Preferably on bluray

I'm quite excited about this series as well. Haven't read the books but know the setting they're in. The broadcast on TV always crash with other stuff I'm doing so I'm looking forward to the DVD box

I like the tv series, too. Don't like the time spent by Mr. Martin supervising it, instead of writing and completing the main plot - the one about the Fire and the Ice. Actually Feast For Crows and Dance With Dragons are not up to par with Game Of Thrones.
