You can take 6-8gal during tire change without adding time to the pitstop.

Yep. Ken and Dino nailed it. Too much time to fuel that, for almost no benefit. If you were closer, say 1-2 gallons, you could stop for a quick splash but you'd only gain a little and lose out on the tires. So 6-8 gallons is the time it takes to change tires. Not sure what that is in liters but well... damn the metrics.

PS I wish we used the metric system.

I use metric, but got the feeling majority was imperial.
