Hello everyone,

Here to join up in some iRacing GT3 fun, my name is Grant Richard, and although I've been too busy to race seriously in the past, I'm hoping to have more free time for this season. I've been told I'm pretty quick (with some practice on the track and a nice setup) by my dad who's been sim-racing since 2004 and iRacing since its conception, however I'm a little afraid of driving with traffic, so please bare with me on that front! Looking forward to some good old racing!

Alright another Canucklehead. You're in good company Grant as there's plenty of us around myself included.

Don't worry about driving around in traffic, that'll come in time. I'd suggest participating regularly in our Practice Pals program Mon and Wed nights and you'll get acclimated in short order.

Thanks for the friendly welcome, guys! I'm still trying to land on which car I want to drive around this season. BMW was my car last season, and of the total 1 race I did it went fairly well, but I do LOVE the sound of the Ford (which I understand is still up for debate on being used in the league), and own all of the other cars, so I feel a need to put my money to good use with them ; at least I'll have a good time painting them, haha, my tradingpaints profile will prove just how addicted to painting cars I am, even if I'm not super fantastic at it.

You've come to the right place to get used to traffic.
I myself still suck among other cars but that's because i am afraid of screwing someone elses race over.

However with Practice Pals it isn't as bad as before luckily.

If it works for me, it should work for everyone!

Welcome! Nice to see another GT3 racer among us. Canadian? ehhhh.

Nice paints! Very canadian. Fun fact: I'm one of the few places in the US that is actually North of Canada!

Hope to see you in practice and races. You'll come to learn to deal with traffic and close proximity driving as you go. We all understand it's a learning process and it's not an easy one because you just can't learn it on your own. It's all about practice with friends.
