GTA V for PC releasedate announced

Basicly the console and pc version have got, and will get, the same updates.

The stuff PC specifically has is:

• Upto 4K resolution
• 60 FPS
• Graphical overhaul
• Rockstar editor; a very extensive video editor where you can manipulate film speed, depth of field, different kinds of camera positioning and the various blends between them, filters, and more, captured over several seperate scenes if you like. You can also edit music, ingame advertisements etc. under the footage. In director mode you can also use actors from the game (characters, heist crew, public and even animals), but you unlock these actors you can use as you play through the singleplayer. You can make them say specific lines and assign actions to them (like open doors etc). You can set time of day, weather, wanted staus, pedestrian density and use cheats, so you basicly can make an entire GTA movie with the editor.
• More music and a new radio station
• More vehicles ('classic GTA vehicles')
• 30 player online sessions
• Surpises (IOW extra content that won't be revealed by rockstar before release)

And it shares the next new features with the next gen consoles:

• New weapons, vehicles and activities
• Additional wildlife
• Denser traffic
• New foliage system
• Enhanced damage and weather effects
• First person view

There's no difference in singleplayer content when it comes to storyline as far as I know

Returning players (players already owning the game on console) will get some extra content;

• New events with rewards (a custom car (Duke O'death, a heavily armored dodge charger lookalike) and seaplane)
• Murder mystery mission (which unlocks two 'noir' filters to apply to the game)
• New weapons (railgun and hatchet)
• Wildlife photography challenge (unlocks the 'kraken sub')
• Stockcar races (which unlock musclecars with company logo skins)
• Monkey mosaic photography missions (unlocks monkey suits and a monkey blista)
• Bonus vehicles (monster truck and more manouvreable blimp)
• Online character can be transfered
• exclusive bonus content from previous copy can be transferred
• previously created jobs can be transferred

The stuff for returning players is for returning players no matter what platform they rebuy for. If you have the game on 360 and rebuy for xbox one, you get the same stuff if you have the game on 360 and rebuy for pc. The character transfer can only be done once. So if you already did a transfer from 360 to xboxone, you can't transfer to pc anymore.

Good to know. I'll probably stick to the last gen console version, unless I see some really really great mods come out. I really don't care to spend money on a game I've already beat. As you've already seen the "How much did you spend on iRacing" thread.

I'm a graphics whore though so this is totally worth it to me For the graphical upgrade alone.

GTA 5 is easily my top game of the last ten years, so I want to experience it at the best it could possibly be. I've saved a lot of stuff to do waiting for the pc version to do it on. This will keep me going for years (until GTA 6 at least) I cannot wait...

Actually, 7, lol. I wonder what will take longer, installing from disc, or decrypting the steam files...

Atleast I can look at the pretty pictures on the discs during install.
