Read it is very p2w too - you can buy airdrops which contain weapons and ammo..
Been keeping an eye on that particular debacle most of the day , its been taken out of context mostly .
The way airdrops are supposed to work is ; You call in an airdrop , it spawns a good distance away from your position .
By the time you get to the drop site a horde of zombies has spawned around it making it impossible for you to get it by yourself .
The only way to get to the contents of the air drop is to team up and fight of the zombie horde .
Now , the streamer who started this whole mess had the crates dropped right on his position and the zombie horde had failed to spawn .
Not only that but the spawn rate for the weapons was bugged , resulting in what appeared to be a very easy way to get "end game level gear" .
The "internet" took this as part of the game a failed to see this a an obvious bug/early access / alpha test , resulting in a massive over reaction .
Personally , i still feel this game has great potential .
It looks good , the core gameplay looks solid (still haven't had the chance to properly play(test) the game) and above all the devs seem to be on top of things(ai: bug reports , listening to the community etc.) .
