This is me driving some laps in a Porsche 911 PDK in a train behind an instructor.

Hehe, if I had a real job I might. I would like to be able to race in real life as a hobby but it's quite expensive. Simulation racing is a good enough substitute for me though .

I never really was a Porsche fan but the sound of the engine and the gear changes make me want to do it again sometime.

The only time i've driven on a circuit was in Assen driving a Land Rover Defender. But you can't really call that racing

I've done worse, driving a mercedes truck with a 30 ton trailer over spa-francochamps on a demo day.

You know there's trackdays right?
Those days you can use your own car on the track, we did that with a couple of crx's (and no instructor blocking your path).

Talking about the instructor, a couple of years ago our "day" was cut in half because most of the "students" tried to overtake the instructor (one succeeded, and mowed the lawn while he was at it).

Who was your instructor? Long skinny blonde guy?

Wappie, doesn't Laro have a race model? I honestly thought they did.

I was really hoping for just 1 lap by myself. But without a racing license there is no way they would let me do that in such a Porsche.

Interesting to hear that the drivers in your group ignored the instructor. That takes some balls, but probably ruins it for the rest of you.

My instructor in the Porsche was a woman. I think the guy you are talking about was drifting in one of the Mustangs.
