Hardware Forum?

Since this is a gaming website primarily populated by PC Gamers, I wonder if we need a forum for hardware based discussion?

Any thoughts on the matter?

Well, the occasional discussion about graphics cards are bound to happen ;)
Besides that I'm not sure how much activity a hardware forum in itself will generate. We have the hardware discussion today in the Gaming Lounge and so far we have one thread I think?
I say we'll wait a bit and see if there is enough activity around the theme to properly populate it's own forum...at least for now. Empty forums are so sad to behold LOL :p

I'm hoping to pick up a new computer this May so there are certainly some hardware based discussions on the way :)

Just want to make sure we leave no stone unturned for our gaming friends to discuss sh1t.

I see the use of a dedicated hw thread where we can discuss and tip about tweaks and drivers plus occasional fun stuff :) Thus avoiding bloating other threads/channels and make it easier to find any good info.

Right! In that case I say that a separate forum for HW discussion is absolutely in it's place :)
Also, HaJa's point about not "disturbing" other forums/threads is quite valid. A more focused forum could also attract additional HW discussions that doesn't fit anywhere today.

TBH I think a few forums with activity are much preferrable to a huge amount of specialized forums that see a new post once in a blue moon. The gaming lounge is a good place to talk hardware IMHO, and if there is enough traffic in the future you can alwass make a new forum at that point.

Too late, I already made the change on Sunday

99.9% of the time I'd agree but in this case, hardware changes so fast for PC's that if we don't need it now, we will need it soon.

I'm also being a bit selfish on this one because I plan on picking up a new PC by mid May so I'll definitely need some feedback on all elements (which will actually be posted in separate topics).

I want to make sure that I go into this purchase with as much information as possible so I can get the most bang for my buck while making this new PC somewhat future proof.
