Very nice Wotan! I actually only lost points in my first timetrial ...
If you see me in TS feel free to join up in practice, I'll be needing lots of practice again now Laguna Seca is up... and I mean LOTS. (Since I seem to have zero natural talent at this...)

Got myself a G27, iRacing is installed.
Ready to go!
Oh man this is gonna be fun - I'm afraid for Shilka's well-being, he might not survive the next purple/broken practice session

I'm wondering if I should have got the G27 rather than the DFGT. It's "only" an extra £80 for a G27. I still have time to return the DFGT, so I'm seriously considering it for the quieter FFB and the clutch pedal/shifter. Also the DFGT pedals have very little resistance which can make it hard to modulate the brakes effectively when you're on the limit.

I can see me being in iRacing for the long haul so it might be worth the upgrade.

But anyway, I digress. Welcome to the iRacing club Wappy! :D

I'm picking up a G27 this weekend probably, it's the best bang for the buck and a good intermediate solution for us newbies.

little p, if you can return the DFGT it may not be a bad idea because of the clutch.

...

This is going to be absolutely epic a bunch of us on track together, can't wait for the weekend!!!

Oh yes, booking this weekend's evenings for some iRacing with the Fragtard crew :)

The DFGT has some really nice features, I love all the buttons but in truth I only use a few of them, and there's more than enough on the G27 wheel for iRacing.

Saying that I have a nearly new Momo Race Evo II wheel I took off my Mitsubishi Evo when I sold it (put the old one back on for the new owner before anyone makes a joke :p) and I saw that you can get a hub for the G27 to mount it on. Now that would be awesome, like driving the Evo and 300ZX TT's again without the running costs (and speeding tickets!).

I think I'm talking myself into getting a G27. Feck.

NICE! How do you like the G27?
After using it for a couple hours; I like it. Although I must say I kinda have a bad reference compared to my old wheel which I've had for like.. 12/13 years and has no force feedback. It's pretty smooth, the force feedback is quiet, got a good grip and I like the material it's finished with. Not sure if it's really leather though.

I won't be around on Saturday unfortunately, but I should be around on Friday and Sunday.

I'll miss the sequential shifter on this DFGT though... But I'm sure there's a way of bodging the shifter to be sequential somehow. I'll take a look on youtube later. If there is I'll probably get one for the weekend :)

This is what you get when you race with Wapwap, rolled like 5 times after the shot was taken...

So maybe it wasn't me to blame all the time then, hmmn, very interesting indeed.

You guys and your "anti-Duke" selective memories. :icon_rolleyes:

On the G25 you just move a switch and it becomes a sequential shifter, not sure if its the same on G27. Can't say i've ever used it though, H is too much fun and paddles are much faster!
