I Hate Origin

I need to have this rant before i scream.

I fucking HATE origin right now.

So i bought Battlefield 3 Premium Edition (i.e. BF3 as it should be in the normal version, oh btw i hate DLC as well).
It cost me £40.
It took nearly two hours for the game to even appear in Origin (why?!? it didn't acknowledge my order either so it just appeared to have taken my money!).
It has now been downloading for most of two DAYS, at a minimum of 3mb/s, and generally at about 8mb/s.
Why?
Because there's some idiotic programming error in origin which means that the download seems to decide to lose 10 or 20% every now again, just for the hell of it.

Seriously considering just getting a refund, and going back like a hermit to steam which i have never had a problem with in god knows how many years of usage...

So it's taken me three days, but i've now managed to install it. Still angry. May even play it one day!

Although just to rub it in the games now £10 on origin...

I think I downloaded about 30GB worth of BF3 before I started from scratch; that fixed it for me.

Origin is crap, everyone knows it except EA.

They want to keep it around so they can inundate us with ads, try to entice even more money out of us all the while spying on our local machines.

It's the watered down equivalent of Steam but the main difference is that Origin is powered by bad intentions.

So i got round to playing it, and wow.

The whole thing is just a mess!
Battlelog is a frankly awful idea, not helped by it being the first thing i've come across that doesn't support at 64 bit browser (had to go and install chrome again just to use it!).
So i played a bit of singleplayer (mainly to get the graphics settings right) and came up against a horrible mess of QTEs, so i will probably never play that again.
Multiplayer came next, and naturally it crashed almost immediately (yay!).

As for actual gameplay, i need to give it time, but my initial impressions of the hilariously slow jets, bad infantry animations and unintelligible UI are not good!

However, the quadbikes are pretty fun.
