I've never been 00ber in any of these flight sims but I really don't remember being this bad lol. I've tried the same quick mission where 4 Lagg's or 4 Yaks (of which I'm flying one) have to shoot down 2 flights of 4 Heinkel HE-111's.
I've literally shot down maybe one or two per session and had my engine sniped out every single time.
Admittedly, I've been coming in on steep rearward dives (not ideal) and aiming for the engines and wing roots. The problem is, both Russian fighters seem completely incapable of removing a wing from this thing and the engine sniping (while cool looking) allows the plane to carry on all be it crash later.
Also is it me or do the Russian planes stall incredibly easy?
I have not had near this many issues in the BF-109 but being Russian means I gotta stick to my roots
I suck so badly that I've had to go online and research the best way to take down an HE-111 which is apparently head on (the plexi does not protect the cockpit), steep angle wing root or cockpit or from wing root below which seems odd as there's not much of a speed advantage there.
Oh and btw, when your cockpit takes damage and the glass has been shot out, the wind sounds are utterly terrific! It literally becomes nearly deafening in the cockpit depending on the maneuver you're trying to pull off.
They do need to tweak gun and cannon sounds because there a bit weak IMHO but other than that the sound is pretty good.
...and thank God for the long gone low-fi mp3 sounding planes in IL2FB.
