must say i think its coming along very nicely.

Its looking really nice right now, the videos they're putting out might not contain to much but the models look top notch and the flight movement looks natural. Oh and tanks!

My only hope is it doesn't take them several years to put in an addon with more Western aircraft like it took IL2:FB.

The engine hasn't been developed by Maddox games, its the same one used in Rise of Flight, so there is a good bet it will work right out the box.

It's looking really really good and it sounds good as well. I only hope they're making a proper WWII sim now with lots of different missions/targets and not just focus on dogfights like RoF.
Hopefully this will be our next WWII flightsim

My biggest gripe so far: the winter map. White and grey and grey and white. How boring will that be?

My biggest fear: no coop.

Did you know DCS has a big sale going until 30th June? Anyone interested in flying helis should get the Huey module. Easy to learn, hard to master , a very immersive single player campaign and some very well done MP missions.

Do they have the ability to put the guns and rocket pods on it? I was thinking of getting it but it needs jungles. Then again I don't play BS2 enough!

It's got miniguns and rockets and door gunners. The Black Shark has a steep learning curve and lots of systems to operate; the Huey cold ramp startup need like 10 switches and you're up and running. For 20 USD it's a steal - until Sunday.

I might have to get it. Sounds much easier than the Black Shark. I can fly that pretty well now but the Huey sounds like childs play.

Tempting! Is it standalone? Could be fun to do some co-ops in a whirlybird for a change

Yes it's standalone. Hurry up guys and we could have lots of whop-whop fun shooting up convoys and landing/extracting infantry in hot LZs.

Multiplayer crew for one heli is in the works, btw.

Don't you need to install DCS world and add it as a module? It would then be possible to use both the Huey in any mission with any other modules people own. Escorting Huey's in A10C's or Ka50's etc.
