iRacing 2014 Ruf Cup - Season 2

I've decided to race the Ruf (Porshe knockoff) for Season 2 in iRacing and am trying something new. This time around I'm recording the races live and commentating during the race.

iRacing: Ruf Cup at Silverstone National - Season 2, Week 2

I'm not very strong on this track in this car and haven't been able to find either speed or consistency in Practice and TT.

Entered the Thursday night race on a whim not really prepared and nervous as sh1t.

Ya that's a tough track to keep the car under check but I've learned quite quickly that it pales by comparison to Circuit of the Americas that we'll be racing this week.

I've been at it for a few hours now and have yet to turn a clean practice lap

Oh yeah, that track is a technical mess, but I do like the track. Those bright red borders are also a nice change.

I haven't driven the GP configuration yet, pretty cool that both the World sportscar series and the GT3 series are doing that (but I'm jealous of that series having only 45+ min races). I have only driven the West version up till now, which was already a handful. I can imagine that the C-spec might struggle on here.

The C-Spec absolutely hates the corners but eats the straights without issue.

Apparently the only way around is massive ARB tweaks to keep the rear in check but I worry that if it's that extreme it will be massively under-steering everywhere else.

iRacing: Ruf Cup at COTA West - Season 2, Week 3

Week 3 sees us at Circuit of the Americas, West configuration.

This car/track combination is pure evil and my guess is, the folks at iRacing just put it in the schedule either because it's a newly added track to the service or perhaps their just pure evil and looking for cheap laughs.

Huge disparity between fast, average and slow drivers will make for some interesting results.
