iRacing 6 Hours of the Glen

Sounds good to me. I'll be around tonight as well most likely. Plenty to practice; GT1 at Spa, Mercedes for the VLN race and DP at Watkins Glen.

I finally updated the first post. Make sure I have you guys names on the list properly. Looks like we're in good shape to field 3 Daytona Prototype teams and a BMW GT3 team.

I haven't had any practice yet (that will change tonight) but I plan on running both the Friday night race and the Saturday morning race, since I have the day off anyways, so if anyone is interested in running that with me in the Daytona Prototype, let me know!

Agreed. And getting the actual teams sorted out. (iRacing teams so we don't have any issues)

I'd still keep Noel and Davey together. I think they'll probably be the two fastest of all of us, though I'm not sure how strong Zac is in the DP.

The 4 of us; me, duke, chris and zac could be anything. I think we should just pull names out of a hat or something. Then again I THINK Chris and I are both Eastern TZ, so a 9am start for the both of us. That means I think 6am for you Duke and I think Zac is central, so that is 8am. Maybe split us both up so we can start the earliest stint?

Or split Zac and I up and have us both register. Our iRating is nearly identical (I have 2605 and Zac has 2611) and we'll end up in the same split. That might be a good idea.

Yeah, sorry, meant to do that earlier but I forgot.

Attached is what I'm currently running. It is adapted from the medium downforce setup to have a little more bite at the front. Traction control is on 2 which can be edgy in the hairpins. Steering assist is also set to two to make turning the wheel a bit easier.

Keep in mind this car allows you to change ARBs in addition to brake bias while driving.

I evened up the ARB's (I think) setting the rear to 2 and it was a lot less nervous on that inner curb entering the Bus Stop.

I also made a few changes to rear HS Compression and Rebound but I'm not sure if they helped, spent no time testing them.

Also I think I upped TC to either 3 or 4.

Yeah, so that doesn't really work well... see, I actually do this thing during the week called racing official, so that number changes a LOT!! #KAPPA

I updated the first post with teams. If the team creators could double check the HEX codes so Ken can finalize the paints, that would be awesome. Also, if you guys could post your car number and your Team ID and so that, in case we need to, we can force the TGA's, that would be great!

You can qualify with any team, it's not linked to it. Only when you register for the race it will attach your time to the registered team.

I hear you about Brands Hatch. What a sad dissapointment.

In regards to being an admin, I think there are certain things only the team owner can do. As admin I believe I only have user access rights (removing users, adding etc) and access to change paints. For the owner, there's a third option next to "Team Settings" which will be "Edit Info" which allows for changing the name and description.

I recommend changing "B2O BES - McLaren" to the team name. Marc is on that team, which will act as a "just in case" if Chris isn't around.

Hey guys I got a call today about helping out a friend at Louden for the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience. I'll be helping people with belts and maybe get a chance to do a lap or two. The only race I'd be able to do is Friday night. Sorry for the short notice but it's good money and any opportunity to get my foot in the door, I'll take. I'll keep you guys updated as I find out more.

OK so since Davey is completely unreliable (no surprise there) that means that Kyle and I no longer have to put up with Marc's bullshit. Maybe we should pawn him off on Noel assuming of course Noel will have him.

Marc of course will have to sandbag a bit so Noel can keep up but it's a small sacrifice to maintain a healthy friendship.

I'm just kidding Davey, that sounds like an amazing opportunity. I think it pales in comparison to spending time with us but it's definitely a close 2nd.
