iRacing B2O Blancpain League Race Friday night Apr 22, 2016

[Daunt]

In sync with the Monza race this weekend for the real life Blancpain Sprint series, we journey to Italy for this historic track. The historic proving grounds of Ferrari and home to decades of racing culture, the track has evolved a lot, slowly being changed for how it is laid out today. Despite these changes, Monza remains one of the fastest circuits the Blancpain series (and many others, like F1) ever visit.

Characterized by it's blistering straight speeds and fast corners, a low downforce setup is critical. Getting out of the low speed chicanes is but one of the many challenges drivers will face at Monza. Losing draft and fighting for position will cost precious time, and when second and third place battle, the leader drives into the sunset.

Practice Session starts at 7:30 PM EST spanning 1 hour and 40 minutes finishing off with a 20 minute, inverse grid, Qualify Race.

Main Race starts at approx 9:45 PM EST with 10 minute warmup and 50 minute Race.

Grid positions carry over from Qualify Race Results.

A mandatory Pit Stop is required within a narrow 5 minute Pit Window at the 25 - 30 minute mark to take on tires only.

uggh, this track is killing me. Practice Pals tonight and 4 hours of trying to get around here with pace, impossible for me for some reason. :icon_redface:

During my race Monday, it wasn't the track, it was the drivers. My rear end was a magnet. I know my Audi is attractive and all but damn.

Had one moron, on the sweeping flat out right after the first chicane drive straight through me, pushing me into the wall where i was thankfully able to recover, and another rear end me going into the second chicane. Both drivers gave back position, so thankfully I didn't feel the need to protest, but I was certainly going to protest that first guy if not for that.

Anyway, I'm not 100% certain I'll be able to make it. I'm hoping I can though.

Nobody showed up for the first Practice other than Noel, Jeeve, Marc and myself and I was going to drop tonight.

There just was not nearly enough people there to put up another empty session in hopes that maybe one or two more drivers would trickle in.

Yeah I had plans that I thought might fall through but didn't. So I had to go be social. haha.
