iRacing Blancpain Endurance Teams

Band of Others currently fields multiple vehicle teams in the iRacing Blancpain Endurance GT Series.

The current list of B2O Drivers and Teams are as follows:

Team BMW:

• Jerad Sharp
• John Beatty Jr
• Ken Lindberg
• Kyle Breen-Bondie

Team McLaren:

• Davey Reindeau
• Noel Luneburg

Ideally, each team should have a minimum of 3 Drivers listed or at least one alternate.

Anyone interested in joining a Team as an alternate please respond.

Also, anyone wishing to run he Band of Others Livery please state your interest here, vehicle of choice and vehicle number.

The minimum lead time to create a new Team and appropriate Livery is 2 weeks.

As an addition, I will not be running endurance beyond this Season.

I've a League schedule to finalize while ensuring all commitments to maintain it are covered by appropriate Staffing.

In addition I've an increasing workload and time constraints outside of Band of Others to attend to over the course of 2016.

This means Team BMW will be looking for another main Driver as well as an alternate.

I wouldn't be opposed to only running Road Warrior series races / the big ticket races after this season. AKA 24 hours of Daytona, 24 Hours of Spa, Petit Le Mans, etc. They're a lot less regular so easier to plan for.

They have yet to determine the schedule, car-sets, etc, I believe for RW, so I wouldn't advise on planning anything just yet. I'm hoping for same format as last one: HPD + GT3, but if we get the option of more cars in session, then HPD, GT1 and GT3. Screw DP because it's a soulless piece of junk and it'll be gone next year, while HPD is right in the middle of current LMP1 and 2, GT1 is pretty much same as GTE/GTLM and GT3 is well, GT3 (GTD, etc).

I could get behind an HPD, GT1 & GT3 road warrior series though. I'd love it.

Noel and Davey took first place, terrific effort.

ID jumped in for me after 2 hours and we managed to Race to a Top 10 finish from Grid Position 39.

Glad we got some points. Just wanted to point out, this means we need to use that same team for the rest of the season. I mean not that it really matters because we're not competing super crazy but if we delete that team or whatever we won't have those points that you and Davey worked hard to earn. then again are you guys going to race tomorrow?

Hey Stefan, I'd have see what Noel thinks for adding another team member. If you're available come and join us on Friday Nights for our Gt3 league and I vote for a fair try out. Noel and I really concentrate on consistency and staying on track (ofcourse). I personally like the two man team but there may be events I or Noel might not be able to make and having someone that can run with us would always be a good thing.

With our recent streams we've been able to pull in a few new members (hah suckers :icon_wink and it might be possible to field another McLaren team if we have more interest. All in all I joined in on Noel and I think it's more his decision than mine but I don't see a problem with adding you to the field once we can run some laps together


Also Noel I applaud your effort with the fuel calculation charts and the time you spend running the two complete stints to get the data. Grateful for a team member that really goes out of their way for something like this, A+ Teammate not to be a kiss ass but you ran great today. Catch you all soon.

Haha, thanks! I like to be prepared on all fronts for these races so if there is a fairly easy way to figure out the fuel then I'm certainly exploring it.

You ran great too. Not far off my pace at all and 0 incidents! Don't know how you did that on a full-of-traffic Brands Hatch.

I wouldn't be against this Steve. As Daunt said at the start though, we are serious about the series even though we are not aiming for a pro license. So if you could join us in a practice at some point so we can see how you drive that would be nice. A backup driver is always nice but we're not going to add someone we don't really know to our main drivers just like that. I don't know who you are in iRacing for example.

I'm fairly certain we'll do all races with 3 stints each so 3 drivers is possible. On that note, I said yesterday that doing 4 stops would be a dumb idea in this series, but Coanda -- one of the top teams -- apparently did 4 stops at Brands Hatch in the BMW. I'm not sure how or why but if they're doing it it's most likely the best possible decision (for their team).

Yeah nobody would do that, that is for sure I will try to join you guys (when was the practice again?) I will have to wake up at 2.30am - hmmm thinking of it I also could stay up - but I dont care about that.
