Is awesome. Anyone on the fence about iRacing - get on it, you won't regret it. I'm not exaggerating, it's the best motorsport sim experience I've had in my life on any console/pc/arcade machine etc.

Simply incredible... if you're into motorsport in any way do yourself a favour and get involved, it's that damn good...

I couldn't agree more, it's truly fantastic and the best racing experience you're likely to ever have.

There's nothing like pack racing especially if you're on Teamspeak with a few friends while doing so.

K, after going through account conformation hell at paypal I finally managed to get this game. Got a 3 month subscription cause I know I'll be having most time available around winter.

I must say, I'm a natural. At my very first test lap (Mazda mx-5 cup at laguna seca)I managed to not spin at one of the corners, and I almost made it around the entire track before it said my car was too damaged to continue! Hows that for starters eh?!?! I bet you geezers never made it out of the pit on your first try!

Let me know if theres a certain track car combo I need to practice if I want to do something together with you guys anytime soon, because I have a slight suspicion I might need some practice first :icon_eek:

Just practice the MX-5 at Luguna for now because we'll probably hook up on the weekend with another few guys I've met through iRacing. Last weekend it was me, little P, wheeldamage, and some other guy racing each other in a Practice Session.

Also, on Monday I hooked up with wheeldamage again and drove the Ruf (Porshe) at Mosport and that was a blast as well. We actually rented a private session which is about $1/hour or something like that.

I can see a future with a bunch of us on the same track with some really intense racing.

Incidentally, the Ruf and 5 tracks cost me close to $100. :icon_eek:

Well, I displaced my practicing from laguna to lime rock park as thats the current cup track I saw. I'm very consistent at spinning each round

You should switch to Lime Rock though as thats where the rookie racing is this week.

I'll be in TS whenever I'm racing this weekend. Gonna prepare wife and kid that I will be having some personal quality time this weekend

Welcome Wotan! Yes agree with Shilka, maybe move your focus to Lime Rock if you're thinking of racing as that's where the race is this week. Hopefully see you on this weekend! I will definitely be on Sunday from 8pm GMT. I'll hop on TS when I join and see you all there

Well, iRacing doesn't like me. Managed just once out of a hundred attempts to connect to a practice session and had terrible lag/warping. I contacted iRacing support and hopefully they can help me with this.

Try a different Practice Session in a different region. If you look under the Practice Session box, there are down arrows giving you more regional session options as well as longer practice times.

I think he tried that already to no avail...
I looked into your problem a bit more wotan, and searched on some racing sim forums outside of iracing for your disappearing-appearing car problem, but nearly everyone I found that had this problem was playing on wireless and solved it by going wired.
You're not on wireless I think?
Other then that I found nothing special, except a few people with corrupt updates that managed to fix by reinstalling...
