Is Wolfgaming finally done?

The one very positive thing I can say is it's really nice to connect with you folks again both in Forum and Teamspeak.

One thing Wolf had over many sites online is it's ability to attract a high percentage of quality people.

Thanks for the mail. A few ol' names seen here. Nice to hear about and see that they are trying to give us old Wolfs a new home to be addicted to. I've parked many old memories of the glory days in FH 0.7 in my heart. Some of you are joy riding in that one. Just being alive for more than 10 sec when Mosquito or Mythrandir was after you in a fighter plane was an achievement that I think is worth to mention. Which makes me wonder where he is, love that guy. Including Godsgift and his police bro(BRAVO)(!) Old WOLF teached me internet manners that are still kinda burnt into the skin. These days, when joining any server, I just wished the admins was present and acted up on problems as WOLF folks did back then. And I'll never forget when I nagged on Engnr to send over some beer money to WOLF. Gladly, I never saw any of the behind the scene war.

GooGel was the one who complained. Im not niave nor stupid. He complained that Fireblade was changing maps to the same map over and over again...no-one came to him and asked him anything, instead they removed his admin rights for ALL the servers. What actually happened was *I* was changing the maps, like i said previous, the Fh server was dead, at its usual dead hour, we changed the map to a more public appealing map, and it worked, people joined the server, when the map rotation continued people left the server, we again decided to swop the map, we played the same map twice in an attempt to get people to join and again it worked and people came back, we then decided to fore-go the rotation and let the public pick which maps to play next. during this time only 1 WOLF member joined, and that was Googel, he then complained - I guess he didnt like the map!
All I can remember is that Fireblade along with maybe you(!?) and someone else was smacking around on Breakthrough in old FH. TKing each other. I'm not really in for a arguement cause it was too many moon cycles ago and the details are barely a fuzz in the grey matter in the brain. I only know that some should have acted like they really did have the WOLF tag. Fireblade and you have done good things for that community but that doesn't give any free walk-away-cards IMO when you're doing stupid things like that when a lot of people are around.

GooGel! :)

It's starting to shape up nicely around these parts. And yes we are working on some server rules, similar but not the same, when we have a game worth admining. It will be good to get back to some good community bonding like the old days but with a much more progressing and less destructive attitude. The stuff behind the scenes was bad, but if that only served to forge our friendship-bond stronger to one other and prove the importance of having a good gaming environment. I know I have bounced around between games staying quiet and observing. I have never found the community that I was looking for until now.

i have tried many games and they were all fun for a while but they never stuck.
Somehow i always seem to return to FH, maybe just because that is something i suck less in.

My sensors picked up a signal, which I haven't been confronted with for a looooooooooong time. GooGel must be around! Where is the bugger?!

Oh....and hi peeps :dance2:

Hey Mosquito! Good to see you, just stay away from Jez because Texas Mosquito's are giving her hell now she is state side. :)

Good to see you peeps again! Havent seen or read about you for years!
Godsgift gave me the heads up about this forum last week. So I read some parts and sure enough old memories came back to me. Even before you entered the WOLF-warzone GooG! :icon_cool:
The time of the "Evils", when even Mondo, Engnrfckr, JohnnyK, WapWap and many others were hanging around. Id like to refer to this as "WOLF-primetime". Way before all the "shit" started....
I still play FH sometimes....although for the last couple of years it hasn't been very much anymore. And still I stumble across players who refer to the game administration of WOLF and how good it used to be. A bit of a shame that its all over now....but the memories remain I suppose...

The evils was always intresting and fun to play with. I stalked Rusk(!?) usually. D: It was a big day when I got eligible and applied for the WOLF tag, that I can remember. I think I registered just because I got temp. banned for a kick for teamkilling, I almost had perma frost on my butt while I waited for an answer in the k/b forum. You know, being a newb in FH wasn't as easy as any Mario game. I began playing that lovely mod around v0.65 when the Barbie KT and the UFO was around. I didn't hook up on the WOLF forum instantly though. But my career didn't settle with the euro tards in the end at least :b Best thing ever was when I found out about the mod and I didn't quite believe that the mod was even released! (hated vanilla BF1942) But I did find the d/l links and installed this massive thing and haven't found anything like it so far to date. Only beer and coffee have gotten tastier since then. So where's Cat from Hong Kong?

Hullo googel and mozzie :D

I still see Catraphact around on Steam once in a while, but I think he is busy with RL stuff currently. I'll try to lure him in here.

That was the problem with BF, then FH. BF had flaws, FH compounded them, we had so many rules, specific ones for each map! Things that should have been answered in game design.

Anyone who was privy to the BF mods, the supermods and superadmins forums will attest to the fact FH caused us so many headaches on so many levels.

While it brought players to WGN, I'll always see clinging onto a mod for an older game (while failing to take on board newer games with the same enthusiasm), which required so much attention on an administrative level as one of the major contributing factors to the downfall of WGN.
