Hello all,

I'm just making this post so you all know what I'm up to and why I may appear to be ignoring you from time to time in Battlelog.

I'm not deliberately ignoring any notifications however if I'm in game with anyone wearing a tag such as V2, VR, ShotDoc, LOVE, NEXT, axiom, etc., it means I'm either in a scrim or in practice.

As it stands, I'm an IFV driver, backup Tanker and Rep bitch/engy/assualt where required in 10 v 10's. This is a 2 year commitment which means practice a minimum of 3 times/week and possibly more if I can create a 5 v 5 B-Squad.

I'll also likely be a regular in Level BF's 32 v 32 Saturday events in hopes of improving my skills against the best of the best in the Competitive scene.

I'll still continue to see many of you ingame however it won't be as frequent as it was previously.

Sadly, I've had to clean out my friends list as well because of Origin's ridiculous 100 friend limit. The only friends removed are those who don't own Battelfield 4 and I wish I didn't have to do it!!!

Also, I've already recorded a bunch of scrimmage gameplay and will start populating YouTube with it in the upcoming weeks. Since we use this stuff to critique our Gameplay at ShotDocs, I may publish as many as 3 videos a week on Fragtard YouTube.

For those interested in how the competitive scene works this will be a great venue for you to check out.

Suffice to say I'm extremely excited to be given the chance to play for ShotDocs so I'm going to give it my all.

Anyway, with you(Duke of docs) being away and all and no updates on the site, how are we going to handle this?

Are you going to play in some league sorta thing?

Ya I'll be playing in all the LevelBF 10 v 10 events as Tanker and IFV Driver when there are two Armor pieces ingame. When there is only one Armor piece available I'm still uncertain if I'm the main driver or the rep bitch at this time?

I think LevelBF has changed their focus in that they want to host regular E-Sporting Events so it sounds like the Competitive Battlefield 4 scene will be pretty busy.

I'm pretty sure we'll also be doing something in ESL but not sure if that's 5 or 10's?

...

The cool thing is that I was rep bitch for ShotDoc_Creasy up until yesterday but they felt it was a waste for me to do that as I'm more valuable to them in Armor. It was really great to be recognized like this so needless to say I'm very happy yet terribly nervous lol.

This is a pretty cool group of guys, no egos and no bs and pretty calm comms.

Grenadiers lol, haven't heard that one in a while.

Ya it sux that Team Reddit folded but in the end it was about there not being enough Team Leaders to keep it going. I think BigMac was doing all the work and the rest of us were doing nothing to help.

I couldn't take on a Team Leader role as I'm just too inexperienced to command a Squad in Comp Play. As it stands, it could be years before I'm ready to command anyone outside of my Armor Crew which is usually just me and another 1 or 2 guys.

I knew Competitive Play was difficult but there's just so much you need to be aware of that it's oftentimes overwhelming especially for a newbie like me.

I'm starting to see why Comp Players tear it up in Pubs because they know how to read the map and the situation better than anyone. They know every single flank route, every single glitch spot and every single fall back location for virtually every inch of the map.

Right now all I'm concerned about is keeping my Armor alive long enough to keep the enemy advance at bay.

I can say though that I really wish I'd done this years ago because it's an experience like no other. If you're even the slightest bit curious about Competitive Play, get involved in it sooner than later because it's worth it!!!

It will also change your Gameplay in virtually everything and for the better IMHO. I'm a much more "aware" Gamer than I've ever been and I've seen this translate across other games as well which is pretty cool.

Ah Yes, long live the Grenadiers!Our late nite exploits of protecting planes from everyone, enemy and well...... fuck no one touched the planes. team or foe. i still wonder how many servers we got kicked/banned from doing that? lol

I was a proud Grenadier on one or two occasions, I'm thinking Grenadiering occurred more often than I thought judging by these posts. Good times. I still can remember a dozen of us spamming from the ammo box on Battleaxe at the airfield and some poor pubbie saying in the chat "looks like the kiddies are out of school..."

I just laughed. It's kinda funny, 10+ years later, we talk [but don't speak of] the Grenadiers, kinda like a Fight Club sort of thing.
