I double stinted tires today and I think it works. After my first stint, the worst wear was at 82%, after my second it was 61% and the outlap was so much better on the old tires. The pit time is about 38.5 seconds either way, so no time saved except the time you can save on the outlap, which I think is fairly significant.
Looks pretty normal, to me. The outside edge of the tyres gets very little wear due to the camber. Generally the center of the tyre isn't cooler than the inner edge, but we're talking about couple degrees and a percent of tyre wear. Maybe it's a symptom of the long straights? Possible you could fix by raising the tyre pressures. Was this going into the night? Results could be different at the latter-half of the race, as the track temps rise.
Ahh, no, I read that backwards. The temps are slightly lower in the middle, but the wear is slightly higher, so lowering the pressures wouldn't be the solution. I'm guessing it's still just a result of the long straights.
