Yeah, when I ordered this morning there were only 60 left for America, and Europe is sold out.

I'll eventually order the Podium shifter upgrade, giving me even more things to diddle while I'm driving.

It's now sold out in America. I guess there will be a non-limited edition version of this rim coming, with a lot of the gold replaced with red.

@Skid_Marc_, that is really cool!!!! I have been debating whether or not to buy an AMG GT3 rim but decided to get a button box first. The button box is from Sim Racing Hardware and just shipped, so I should have it soon and will post pics when I get it mounted.

Ohhh what could be in here...

Oh, just some button caps...

Oh wait, there's more!

Looks and feels incredible. Definitely some of Fanatec's best work. The rotary knobs have a nice, solid click to them. The thumb encoders rotate relatively easily but when you're actually holding the wheel they have a good amount of tension. It's very easy to reach up and click the encoder up or down a notch. The up/down encoders above the rotaries also have a nice positive click. The buttons seem to be the same buttons as the older Formula rims. Don't change what works.

The middle encoder is interesting. When you click it, it goes through "modes" on the wheel that I think correlate with the eventual shifter upgrade. Mode A it lists as Clutch Bite Point on the little screen, B is Clutch/Handbrake, C is Brake/Throttle and then D is mappable axis. I'm guessing the shifter upgrade will have analog paddles for the clutches (which makes sense), and the mode in the middle determines what they actually do.

Another interesting upgrade is that the wheel is now "smart". In addition to the LED screen, it has firmware now, and internal setup memory. So you can have multiple settings profiles on the wheel and switch between them. I can see this being very useful with the DD1 when switching between games, where you might want different feedback and strength settings.
