Just finished my second Lotus 49 race at Brands Hatch this week. The first one wasn't very populated but today was the SOF race and we got a whopping 19 people!
I wanted to mention how surprisingly clean these races are though. For a car that's constantly on the edge of murdering you, the racing is really close and clean. From what I saw there was only one wreck between two people.
Point being, the official races aren't as bad as one might think, and are even comparable to the quality of a well organized league race. It might have to do with the fact that you can only races a few times a week on the weekends or the fact that it's such a steep learning curve that only the committed people really race it.
SO, if anyone is interested in running it with me this season I plan on it being one of the main things I race this season, and it would be awesome to have someone to practice and develop setups with. Next week is 7 laps at Nordschleife so I understand if you would rather wait until the week after
